LEVEL TESTING AND STANDARDS
-
Allright guys!
Like I mentioned before, we will be conducting evaluations at the westside gym this saturday starting at 8 am, you must sign up at the front or with any Coach to reserve your spot. There will be only 4 spots every hour so do it now!
If you have any Q’s, let us know.
Ok. Below is the link to a pdf copy of the movements and standards in testing. Here is the skinny:
- You will need to show up early and warmup on your own.
- You will have about 1 hour to perform this test.
- Each movement will be done in succession. Resting time will be based on the athlete and coach.
- You will have 2 opportunities to perform each move. If you fail on second attempt you must move on to next event.
- Each level passed will count for the level below. For example if you pass at a level 3 on a certain movement it will automatically count as level 2. However if you miss at a higher level test it doesnt count for the level below. For example, if you attempt at level 3 and you miss on your first attempt, you have to decide whether you want to try again at that level or attempt at a level 2. A second fail at any movement will be considered a fail at all levels.
- Each attempt will be judged for range of motion by a coach.
Also please remember this test is a work in progress and is subject to change.
