The Paleolithic, or Paleo Diet
The Paleo Diet (also popularly known as the Caveman Diet), is another interesting approach to eating well. The Paleo eating philosophy is based on the idea that we are genetically the same as the early hunter-gatherers; and that modern, high-carbohydrate diets and lifestyles are responsible for a host of health problems, including obesity, heart disease, osteoporosis and other ailments. - EAT: lean meats, fruits and vegetables, nuts and seeds.
- AVOID: processed, high-carbohydrate foods, grains, legumes and dairy.
